Spring-Summer Class Schedule

 

Head of the Bay Quilt for Block of the Month
During the next year, each month we will be making a 12” finished block representing something in Harford and Cecil counties (The Head of the Bay).

The cost will be $20 to join and $7.50 for each month’s block kit. You will receive a newsletter which will include a new recipe, some local history and upcoming events and instructions to complete an extra project.

The meetings will be held the 4th Thursday of each month starting at 6:00pm or you may choose the 4th Saturday at 10:00am. During the meeting, we will discuss the making of that month’s block and you may sample the included recipe. The quilt contains a block that is paper pieced and one that is appliquéd. A free class will be included to learn these techniques. If you bring a “show and tell” item to the meeting, you will be entered to win a store prize. You do not have to attend the meeting to pick up your block kit on that 4th Thursday or 4th Saturday.

Handi Quilter Seminar - On Saturday, August 16th starting at 11:00 am, Debbie Brown, our HQ Educator,
will be here for a teaching seminar on how to use micro handles, rulers, and various quilting techniques. Seminar will fill up quickly so call to reserve your spot now! A Bargain at $30 for this all day seminar.

Miniature Block of the Month with Lois beginning on Sunday, August 17th . More class details coming soon. Come in and see these magnificent samples.

Winning Hand Quilt with Shirley - The middle of the block is a four patch with strips on all sides and a square cut on the diagonal. Let’s shuffle the deck and cut these cards. Class fee $30 plus supplies. Wednesday, August 20th and 27th from 10:00-4:00pm.

"Birds" Block of the Month - On Saturday, September 13th, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Debra Gabel from Zebra Designs will be here to kick off the "Birds" Block of the Month.  Registration is now open so please give us a call to sign up.  Club fee is $10 and $10 per month for each block.  To see this incredible quilt, and many others by Debra, stop by our classroom or to get a sneak peak visit www.zebrapatterns.com.

Erin Underwood's Mystery Quilt Day - Saturday, September 20th starting at 10:00am.  Register now for a fun day of mystery quilting.  Class fee is $30.
